We have been keeping you up to date with the latest Pokemon X and Y news regarding final evolutions for certain Pokemon, but now it’s time to switch our attention to another key area of the game – the Pokemon Bank. Nintendo has announced some important details for fans looking to transfer their Pokemon captured in Black and White 2, over to Pokemon X and Y.
If you are still looking for the final evolution teasers and missed it last time, you can take a look at the final evolution of Honedge here, while information on the final starter evolutions can be found here.
Now, we want to talk about the Pokemon Bank as it’s clear that many fans have a big request to get their old Pokemon into X and Y. Nintendo are going to be providing this service, but we can confirm that they’ll be charging a fee to do so.
It will cost you $4.99 a year for this luxury, but there will be a free 30 day-trial before hand letting users get a free preview of both the Pokemon Bank and indeed the Poke Transporter which is a companion box that helps transfer your Pokemon into online boxes from previous Pokemon games.
The games that will be supported for Pokemon Bank and Poke Transfer include Pokemon Black, White, Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. There is a warning associated with using this service though aside from the charge – once you have transferred a Pokemon out of Black, White, Black 2 or White 2 into an online box, you cannot transfer the respective Pokemon back into the previous games.
Nintendo has made this crystal clear in a lengthy FAQ section on the official Pokemon X and Y website. If you consider yourself to be a Pokemon veteran and have acquired hundreds of Pokemon in the last games, we strongly recommend you to have a full read through the terms and conditions.
With that said though, Pokemon X and Y Bank seems like a great feature to have at users’ disposal throughout the year for just $4.99. Give us your thoughts on Pokemon Bank and whether you are willing to pay $5 or not.
