Earlier this week we gave you an heads-up that the Pokemon X and Y final starter evolutions had been revealed early, due to copies of the game going on sale earlier than Nintendo had anticipated. Most of you will now know the starter evolutions, but we have discovered some fantastic visual art, showing a more close up look at the evolutions for Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.
Pokemon X and Y is due to be released on October 12, but that hasn’t stopped many gamers picking up the game ahead of schedule much to the disapproval of Nintendo. We still see it happen all of the time though with other major game releases, so it appears to be out of the publishers control at this point.
Just hours ago, interest in the game was sent through the roof as we pinpointed you in the directions of images showing the official designs for Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja – the final starter evolutions for Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie respectively.
Now though with the secret already out and widely being discussed on Pokemon messaging boards everywhere and Twitter, we only feel it appropriate to give you a much better look visually on the final evolutions that will be available.

We’ve come across a very useful image indeed on Twitter, showing both evolution stages for the three starter Pokemon in the game. That means you’ll be able to see the likes of Froakie evolving into Frogadier and Greninja, Fennekin into Braixen and Delphox and the new surprise package of Chespin into the beastly Chesnaught after Quilladin.
Although the reveal is deemed as major spoilers in some corners, we feel that this one is more lenient, as Pokemon fans really do not want to make the wrong decision and live to regret it later on in the game. Choosing a starter Pokemon is one of the toughest choices in the game and many fans wanted to get a heads-up on the final evolutions before making their decision on October 12.
Study the image and designs above and let us know what Pokemon you will be choosing for the game. We’ve seen a lot of early criticism on Delphox’s design, but do you actually like it?
