You might think it is strange for the 2013 Skoda Octavia to be launched in India so late because it should be classed as the 2014 model. However, this would be wrong because it is clearly this year’s model, and so the Indian market will have to make do.
Having said that, we are sure the car will do very well if the 2013 Skoda Octavia price in India is anything to go by because it is very economical for those on a tight budget. Okay, so it is not the cheapest car in India, not by a long shot, but for the market it is going after, the price is very reasonable.
The price of the 2013 Skoda Octavia for the Indian market starts at Rs 13.95 lakh, and with seven variants there is a model for all needs. The styling and comfort of the new model is a far cry from what we used to see in the past from Skoda, and to see them make use of new technology like bi-xenon headlamps with cornering function is proof of this.
Skoda’s 2013 Octavia range consists of seven variants with three model types; these are the Active, Ambition and Elegance. All seven are: 1.4 TSI Active, 1.4 TSI Ambition, 1.8 TSI AT Elegance, 2.0TDI Active, 2.0TDI Ambition, 2.0TDI AT Ambition and finally the 2.0TDI AT Elegance. The top of the range will cost Rs 19.45 lakh. Full pricing can be seen here.
2013 Skoda Octavia transmission options consist of 6-speed manual, and 6-speed and 7-speed automatic transmission. It is Skoda’s hope that the Indian market will warm to this new model because it should help to redefine the segment.
