Apple iWatch plays the waiting game, at a price

Once in a while Apple do something out of character, and that is to release a new product not see before, like the iPhone and the iPad. Okay, so there were smartphones already on the market long before, but Apple’s approach was so radical that it was an instant success.

It has been a while since they have done this, and so they always seem to be late to the market. This is just what is happening with the iWatch, and although there has been no official confirmation that they are to release the device, we’ve seen the job listings suggesting it’s a done deal.

However, we have to wonder what is taking Apple so long because by the time they launch their smartwatch, the market would have been saturated. There’s already the Pebble, and smartwatches from Sony, and Samsung. We also know Google and Nokia want in on the action.

Most Apple haters will say Apple is doing what they do best, and that is to be late to the party. However, this might not be a bad thing because we have seen what happens when a smartwatch is rushed to market. Samsung has admitted they got it wrong with the Galaxy Gear because they rushed it, which we believe was in fear of Apple releasing iWatch late this year or early next year. Samsung is now believed to be working on the Galaxy Gear 2.

Even though some of you will be saying Apple is paying the price by prolonging the release of their iWatch, others would say they do not want to cut corners and rush one out for the sake of it.
