Batman: Arkham Origins is scheduled to release at the end of this month and we are intrigued to know whether this will be as, if not more popular than Arkham City, as the caped crusader returns to do battle once again. With plenty of nods towards the comic book style stories this game takes Batman back to when he first started out and today we are looking at the introduction of the Batcave as his base that involves close circuit surveillance, training and gaining extra powers including weapons.
Above this article we have embedded gameplay footage which includes a closer look inside the Batcave and at nearly 20 minutes long, this video allows fans to check out the upcoming game and some of the new improvements involved.
The open world is said to be twice as long as that experienced in Arkham City and Deathstroke is just one of many villains Batman has to contend with as this game shows a less mature superhero still finding his feet.
From what we can see having a younger Batman to control means he is a bit more agile and his moves seem more fluid. Because it is Batman Arkham Origins this is set in a time when Bruce Wayne is starting to get used to being the caped crusader, so the suit looks like an early version or one of the first ones he’s made, as opposed to his more refined outfits that have been seen in the likes of Arkham City.
The Batcave is where the hero learns how to train and there are plenty of facilities required for gaining XP and training upgrades as well as the combat progression and weapons that can be acquired. The video above gives gamers a fair bit of insight into the game showcasing the Batcave and introducing us to Alfred, along with a look into caped crusader infiltrating the Gotham police department.
While some fans of the previous Batman games understand that improvements and tweaks are required to enhanced gameplay, others remain a bit sceptical as they enjoyed the familiar style of Arkham City and expect the same from this. With this in mind, we understand how well Arkham City was received and hope there are not too many drastic changes to this tried and tested formula that fans love.
Without rabbiting on too much about the game we are aware that the above video is quite long so we suggest you check it out and give us your impression of Batman: Arkham Origins in the comments section below. A worldwide release date is set for October 25; therefore, we would love to know if you will be buying when it comes out?
