Xbox One controller analysis with Forza 5

There has been a lot of debate already on which controller is better, between the new PS4 DualShock4 and Microsoft’s new Xbox One controller. This week, we bring you some positive evidence from Microsoft’s side of the story, with a special analysis on how their impulse triggers on the Xbox One pad contributes to extra realism with the upcoming Forza 5 game.

Forza 5 is set to be released alongside the Xbox One as a launch title and is shaping up nicely to be the biggest and most realistic Forza 5 game seen to date. Microsoft has been hyping up Forza 5 a lot recently and now we have an insightful video interview for you to check out courtesy of Turn 10 and Major Nelson.

For those that are not aware, the Xbox One controller will feature impulse triggers as well as haptic feedback, the same new technology that Valve has just implemented into their Steam controller. The new trigger technology will allow Xbox One developers to specifically program directional vibration on their games and now we can gain a little insight as to how this will work with Forza 5.

Aside from hearing Turn 10 talk about how the controller fits Forza 5 perfectly, the clip is also an excellent opportunity to get reacquainted with how Forza 5 gameplay is shaping up.

The game looks absolutely stunning from a graphical point of view, with Microsoft keen to point out in the clip that all footage is in-game and not pre-rendered.
