Everyone has been pouring their money into the exciting Mighty No.9 kickstarter project, but until now we haven’t seen any glimpse of potential gameplay for the Mega Man-inspired side-scrolling platform game. The good folks over at Comcept have provided a glimpse of how Mighty No.9 could look when the game finally goes into production.
With the funding showing no sign of slowing down after an amazing few weeks of donations, it’s clear that Mighty No.9 is now going to release on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and hopefully PS4 and Xbox One too. The last major goal to reach is PS Vita and 3DS platforms, but the figure needs to reach $3.5 million in order for that to happen – the goal is currently around $3,300,000 with under 24 hours to go.
While the race is on to secure PS Vita and 3DS versions of the game, we have a very brief concept gameplay video for you to enjoy. Before you watch, it’s important to mention the massive disclaimer from the developers.
The footage is by no means final gameplay and isn’t an indication whatsoever what the final product will look like. Comcept has said that the footage was made in just 7 days and was released for testing purposes to show off what the game looks like when utilizing the Unreal Engine from Epic.
With that said, we definitely like what we are seeing. If this is what can be done via a rough test in just 7 days, imagine what the full game is going to look like – incredible stuff. The animation quality is fantastic and it definitely serves as a wonderful tease as we approach the climax of the Kickstarter countdown.
Take a look for yourself and enjoy the footage. Will you be happy if the final product looks a little bit of what you see here in this rough test?
