With so many different sized tablets now on the market, some may feel that Apple should also be competing with some of the other variations of tablets now available. While many Apple fans have come up with specialised sizes they would prefer it is worth the company entertaining this feedback, as this could be beneficial.
This is where a report on Apple Insider discusses the speculation surrounding work by Apple on a new 12-13-inch iPad with long-time partner and manufacturer Quanta Computer. This reignites rumours about the company contemplating a larger tab, and Chinese publication United Daily News gives us the impression they are indeed actively working on this.
The relationship between Apple and the Taiwan-based manufacturer has accumulated in plenty of Apple products over the years, although other reports suggest Quanta is looking to come away from the small, light and thin laptop production, as tablets like the iPad are becoming more and more popular.
Analysts are now predicting the popularity of the tablet will have a negative impact on MacBook sales, prompting Apple to offer more choice as far as the iPad is concerned. Speculation surrounding a demand for larger screens has been circulating for some time, and with new thinner, lighter products expected from Apple in the coming months we can envisage work being done to bring a larger iPad to the public.
Do you think a larger 12-13-inch iPad is needed?
