Earlier this week we showed you what was thought to be the first footage of Metal Gear Solid V running directly on PS4 hardware. Not to let down the other side of the gaming community, Hideo Kojima has also given a demonstration at the Tokyo Game Show, of Metal Gear Solid V in action on Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
Just like the PS4 version, MGS5 is looking fantastic on the Xbox One as well. After seeing the franchise predominantly arrive on the PlayStation, some are still surprised that Metal Gear Solid V is on the way to Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Like so many other games and franchises though, it looks like Hideo Kojima has no problems joining Microsoft and he appeared on behalf of Microsoft at the Tokyo Game Show to unveil the same new gameplay demo as PS4, but running on Xbox One hardware itself.
You’ll be able to see an enthusiastic Kojima in the corner of the video above, providing commentary as the demo is being played live. Obviously you won’t be able to know what’s going on if you don’t understand Japanese, but it’s there to see in black and white that the game is running great on Microsoft’s new console.
Like the PS4 demo, you’ll be able to witness Metal Gear Solid V footage in daylight conditions and pay close attention to the fantastic looking textures on the grass and other foliage areas. There’s still no 2014 release date on the game, but hopefully Kojima will be revealing this information soon.
Would you go as far to say that the Xbox One demo of Metal Gear Solid V looks better than PS4, or are they on par in your opinion? Check out the PS4 footage again here and let us know your thoughts on this.
