The BlackBerry Z30 will be coming to Verizon and while this is great news if you are a customer of theirs, we still do not know the price or availability, although we do know it will not be long. Okay, it is obvious you want to know how much you will be paying for this new 5-inch device, but at least we are one step closer.
Main BlackBerry Z30 specs include the a 5-inch Super AMOLED display we mentioned above, a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, BlackBerry OS 10.2 and a 2,880mAh battery, which is not the best on the market, but we expect it will perform very, as long as they have learned from the mistakes made with the Z10.
BlackBerry says the battery is good for two days use, but we highly doubt this, not unless you are a very light user. What we do find worrying is the company as a whole has started to run out of juice, with the recent news that BlackBerry could be out up for sale, and if a deal was to go ahead we might not see any more handset releases from the Canadian phone maker.
BBC News reports the patents; software and cash reserves of BlackBerry are worth around $5 billion. One has to wonder who would take on such a company who has not been able to turn themselves around since Apple came on the scene with the iPhone, and shortly after faced even more completion from Android based handsets?
Going back to the Z30; BlackBerry really needs to market these handsets hard because their marketing campaigns have not been that great for new handsets in the past.
