Earlier this week, we confirmed to you the official start date for the highly anticipated Battlefield 4 beta. What EA didn’t mention at the time though is when the beta will begin for those that currently have a Battlefield 3 premium subscription – which is what most of you are actually curious about.
In case you missed it a few days ago, EA revealed that the Battlefield 4 open beta would be unleashed on October 1. What we can actually reveal to you though, is that October 1 is when early access will begin for Battlefield 3 premiums.
Those without BF3 premium and without any special access will instead be able to access the beta on October 4 – this applies to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC owners. Aside from BF3, those who picked up a copy of Medal of Honor: Warfighter will also be able to access the beta on October 1 – just as a further reminder.
If you already have the BF4 Digital Deluxe Edition on order, this will also secure you early access into the beta on October 1. Everyone else who will have to wait a further three days as mentioned above, where you can simply download the beta client from Origin, the PS Store or Xbox Live marketplace on October 4.
So there we have it – which position are you in? We’re guessing most Battlefield 3 owners purchased premium to get the expansion packs early, so we will see you online and in the servers on October 1! This is going to be an amazing preview of the game – we just hope the servers can handle the immense traffic that will be coming DICE’s way.
