Are you pumped up for the release of Call of Duty Ghosts yet? Activision and Infinity Ward will launch the game on November, but there’s also the matter of next-gen PS4 and Xbox One versions to look forward to as well. If you are planning to pick up both platforms of the game, we have some important information to share with you.
While you may have thought that picking up a current-gen and next-gen version of Call of Duty Ghosts would be an expensive venture, Activision has announced this week that various incentives will be in place to make the transition to next-gen a much smoother one.
We can now reveal that you can pick up digital copies of the game on Xbox 360 and Xbox One for a combined price of $70. This will be available via the Xbox Live marketplace, or by purchasing a special ‘dual-license digital edition’ of Call of Duty Ghosts at participating retailers.
Failing that, the standard method of trading in the Xbox 360 version for an Xbox One version will be available with discounts as well. The same scenario will apply to the PS3 and PS4 versions of Call of Duty Ghosts, but with the added bonus of applying to physical disc versions of Call of Duty Ghosts as well.
It means that you can pick up Ghosts on PS3 at any retailer and use a promo flyer inside the box to pick up a digital version of Ghosts on PS4 – for $10, £10 or 10 Euros. A similar deal will also be available for buying both digital versions of the game, so it’s a good deal for both sets of consoles if you don’t want to lose any data by starting on current-gen.
Will you be willing to pay up to $70 to own Call of Duty Ghosts on current-gen and next-gen though? Give us your thoughts on this below and don’t forget to check out Activision’s full guidelines at their website here.
