The Witcher 3 is going to be one of the best games for PS4 and Xbox One that will combine the latest console graphics with a vast open world. We loved spending nearly 1,000 hours in the world of Skyrim, so naturally The Witcher 3 is very appealing considering the console version will launch after the first jump in Xbox/PlayStation power in about 7 years.
Skyrim featured a number of mods that allowed the PC version to benefit from a lot of extras, but considering the next-gen consoles are almost here you can expect the game to be most popular on a console. We have even heard claims of this game taking next-gen hardware close to maximum performance, although developers will obviously learn software tricks over the years just like they did with both PS3 and Xbox 360.
Will you place a pre-order for The Witcher 3, and if so will it be on Xbox One, PS4 or is PC the only way to go? If you are looking for the official pre-order page for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then you can find it on the official website although pre-order information is not live just yet. You will find a subscription page that you can join to be notified when The Witcher 3 release date and pre-order details land.
Those of you that don’t mind placing a pre-order for The Witcher 3 without a release date can do so right now. You will find a number of online stores offering the game up for order with no launch date, and these include Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy for around $60 or £55 in some UK stores.
Would you place an order for The Witcher 3 without the finer launch details? At the time of writing The Witcher 3 is set to release in 2014, although we are yet to receive an exact date.
Some people feel that it is crazy to order any game without a launch date. “The date could drop back a number of times, I would only pre-order the Witcher 3 if they give me a release date”, said one Product Reviews reader. Another added, “The store will not take your money until they ship the product, so placing a pre-order should be fine in most cases”. We should point out this is not always the case for all stores.
If you are visiting developer sessions at Euro Gamer in London later this month, then you will get to see The Witcher 3 presented by those behind the game. You can read more about The Witcher 3 in a quick preview found via our earlier article.
