On September 26 we know for certain that Nokia will be showing off their latest smartphone, the Lumia 1520, but there is also a rumor of a Nokia tablet as well. While we may have already reported on this, some more news has come to light that you may wish to know.
If we can believe a recent report then the Nokia Windows RT tablet specs may have been leaked via benchmark tests. According to the alleged GFX benchmark test it shows the Nokia Windows RT tablet codenamed Sirius could come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which will work in conjunction with a Adreno 330 GPU.
No other hardware was shown in the Nokia Windows RT tablet benchmark on the Phone Arena website, but previous rumors suggest the Nokia Windows 8.1 tablet will come with a 10.1-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, 32GB of storage, which seems a little low, 2GB of RAM, again not enough, a microSD slot to increase storage, a 6-megapixel camera to the rear and 2-megapixel up front.
We should also expect the Nokia Windows RT tablet battery life to be around 10 hours, depending on usage of course. The Nokia tablet is also expected to come with Surface tablet similarities and that could either be a good thing or a bad thing, we say this because the Surface range has not been as popular as Microsoft had hoped.
Having said that, there are still some great features with both the Surface RT and Pro, and so when the new range is announced on September 23 (3 days before Nokia’s unveiling) we hope to see some massive changes that will give the Surface range a much needed boost.
