If you still haven’t picked up Zelda The Wind Waker but are interested in doing so, we have a video to show you which should give you the push you need to make a purchase. The Wii U remake has been compared side by side with the original version on GameCube, showing just what a good job Nintendo has done in giving the game a fresh makeover.
The Wind Waker HD is now available to buy on Wii U and is still one of the finest Zelda games in the series -we couldn’t recommend it more if you didn’t play the GameCube original. It also serves as an excellent Zelda game to pass the time until Nintendo decides to finally drop some official information and a release date for the original Wii U Zelda game that looks so promising.
This video that we have for you this week compares the new game with the original, showing you exactly how the graphics compare. What a difference the Wii U hardware makes as well, with the HD version easily looking crisper and more easy on the eye.
At the same time, we’ve noticed early feedback from many of you, who actually say that the colors on the HD version look ‘washed out’ and that the original is more favorable because of this.
We actually prefer the HD version though, it looks fantastic and breaths a new lease of life into a game that was originally out on the GameCube in 2002.
Either way, this video is the only comparison you need and the included commentary from GameXplain is very useful indeed. Check it out and let us know what you think of the job that Nintendo has done on the remake. Do you agree with some of the comments on the color situation?
