iPhone 5S battery life concerns in 64 bit apps

During Apple’s iPhone event yesterday we got to see a demo of what the new A7 processor could do with 64 bit apps, and we knew they would be quoting all sorts of figures in regard to battery life. Apple claims that even though you get greater performance from the new chip, there is no loss to battery life, and remains almost the same as the iPhone 5, which wasn’t exactly great in the first place.

However, looking over the iPhone 5S battery life chart above we have noticed that there is no mention of how long the battery will last while gaming. We do have a few iPhone 5S battery life concerns when it comes to using 64 bit apps, and makes us wonder why Apple left this out of their little chart?

The reason we have concerns over the battery life when it comes to gaming on the iPhone 5S is because the A7 has the same class architecture as a desktop now, so this surely has to cause some sort of drain on the battery when being used to its full potential?

Apple says that the iPhone 5S and 64-bit supported apps offers twice the graphics performance as the iPhone 5 with its A6 chip, so to not see any sort of drain on the battery would certainly be an achievement.

Personally, we believe having a powerful chip like this on such a small device is silly because you cannot get to appreciate the improved gaming. However, there is no doubt in our minds that the iPad 5 will get the same A7 chip and will be able to take full advantage of those 64-bit apps.
