iPhone 5S release date queue or pre-order

By Updated on

Love it or hate it when a new iPhone finally becomes available it draws huge crowds outside stores, or puts a huge strain on Apple servers as people try to pre-order the new handset. The same will be for the iPhone 5S release date, and so you will be faced with the same dilemma, and that is to queue outside of a store to make certain you do not have to wait for the courier, or if you would rather pre-order yours so you do not have to join those ever-growing queue.

We have included a video for you below that gives you a general idea of the launch last year in London, which shows what a big event it is to thousands of people and we expect at least the same again in 2013 with the iPhone 5S release date.

We have pre-ordered our new iPhone in the past, and then have to anxiously wait for the courier to turn up, but it is never as easy as we would hope. We say this because for the past few years we have tried to pre-order our iPhone, only for Apple servers to buckle under the pressure and be left hanging, and at one stage it showed that we had just purchased two, which took a call to Apple to correct the issue.

You then have the worry that the units Apple holds in stock run out fast and your estimated shipping turns to 2-3 weeks.

So what if you do not wish to choose the iPhone 5S pre-order, then you can head to your local Apple or carrier/network and join the queue. Some stores do not have large queues so there is a good chance you will get it, just as we did with the iPhone 5 last year. However, because stock is limited you run the risk of not being able to get hold of one.

We’ve already seen iPhone 5S queues start 2 weeks ago at many Apple stores, so we would hate to be stuck in one of them, although we are sure there will be a great atmosphere. There were no such issues last year while queuing for the iPhone 5 at our local O2 store, because there were about 15 people in the queue, and we was about 8th, and so knew we would be getting our iPhone 5 on the day. As for this year, we’re undecided what to do, so how about you?

I’ll be sticking with iPhone 5 just as I stuck with iPhone 4 when 4s came out.
I’m just looking forward to iOS 7 tbh :)
