The iPad Mini 2nd-generation will not be shown at tomorrows iPhone event, but that does not mean interest has slowed as we still expect to see a iPad Mini 2nd-gen launch date of (OCT), meaning we do not have that long to wait.
We can clearly see there is no shortage of news when it comes to the iPad Mini 2nd-gen because we recently saw a video looking at the components to Apple’s new smaller tablet, along with the iPad 5 as well. However, we thought you might wish to take a closer look at the main design changes of the iPad mini 2, and so have included a few images for you.
There is also a more extensive iPad Mini 2nd-gen pre-launch hands-on here, offering you a closer look at the design of the iPad mini 2. If we are to believe these images then there is only going to be one very minor design change, and that is to the Apple logo.
Everything else seems the same, which is no surprise considering the iPad mini was already a new design last year and current users are mostly happy with it.
It is obvious the iPad mini 2 specs are more important than the design, and so we already have a good idea of what we want, but we are still unsure if Apple will go with a Retina display because of the battery life trade-off, Having said that, Apple needs to improve the iPad mini display to help it compete with the likes of the Nexus 7, which recently underwent a pretty decent upgrade of its own.
Again, the iPad mini 2 looks are not of great importance, but the design and price are, so Apple needs to deliver next month if they wish to help claw back some tablet market share.
