We spotted a video on YouTube today that takes a look at Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Zoom camera phone and compares it to the Canon 60D DLSR for speed, although we must say, this has to be one of the strangest comparisons we have seen in a while.
The video above by Adrian Isén lasts around 3 minutes and compares the professional looking Canon 60D DLSR with the S4 Zoom camera phone, which some may feel is a weird comparison to do. While the presenter comments on the options available with the S4 Zoom, we cannot help but wonder why the two devices are being put side-to-side.
As far as speed is concerned the Canon 60D DLSR is much quicker, and this is where we have to take the fact that the S4 Zoom is in fact a camera phone with the emphasis on the phone feature. Yes, we understand that we won’t be able to play Angry Birds or make phone calls with the Canon, which gives us cause to question why these two products are being compared in the first place.
In a nutshell, the Canon 60D DLSR is faster when it comes to taking pictures and this comes as no surprise, but are we the only ones that feel comparing a DSLR to a smartphone does not really do either device justice? We would like to have seen some images to at least compare the quality of this aspect. Do you feel this is a strange comparison?
