We have reason to believe we will soon see an Apple event invite for the iPhone 5S and other products, if we are to go on what happened last year. On September 4, 2012 we predicted when the invites would go out based on when the event was to take place, and so we are doing the same again.
If we are correct then we expect to see the iPhone 5S event invites going out either today or tomorrow, as this would then be a week before the event has been rumored to begin. There is a general consensus that this will take place on September 10, 2013.
Once Apple send out these invites we hope to get a better idea of what we can expect because they usually offer some sort of hint, although their images are normally minimalist at best.
The iPhone 5S release date following imminent event invite – As we said above, we expect to see Apple hold their iPhone event on September 10, and if we are to go by past events the 7th generation iPhone should be released within 2 weeks of the event. Personally, we believe the iPhone 5S release date will be September 20, but would you agree?
iOS 7 GM then final release – Before the event we will no doubt see the Gold Master version of iOS 7, which could happen ether today or tomorrow, as it will be before the iPhone 5S event. You will notice that we say the 5S because the rumors of an iPhone 6 release are a long shot at best.
We can expect a great deal of attention put on iOS 7 because of the massive changes, but that will not be all – or so we assume.
It would be better for Apple to give them their own separate event, although unveiling them during the iPhone 5S event would be a huge platform for them because of greater media attention.
