If you love playing free online games and enjoy strategy gaming then there’s a good chance you have heard about Forge of Empires. If you are already playing like thousands of others, then you know that the developers added a new Progressive Era to Forge of Empires a couple of weeks ago.
Ranking up to the Forge of Empires Progressive Era is no simple task and will take hundreds of hours playing. In fact, you would need to be playing for a few months to get anywhere close but at that level you seriously have an advantage over your neighbors.

The Progressive Era starts off with an improvement to roads thanks to Traffic Lanes, which deliver Tarmac Road and Promenade. The upgrade tree then moves into a number of new goods before finally seeing new Military buildings and other items like Houses at 5750 gold in one day.
We have been hands-on with Forge of Empires for a few months in our extended review, which started out as a quick test before becoming slightly addicted. You can see our first impression of Forge of Empires in an earlier article.
Have you played Forge of Empires yet? Have you reached the Progressive Era?
If you haven’t played the game then we recommended you give it a try, but warn our readers about becoming addicted to the point of spending real world money on in-game diamonds. This can turn a free game into a costly experience over a few months of playing.
We will be ranking up to Progressive Era in the next week or so, and then we will publish a small update detailing our hands-on time in this Era. We especially look forward to building a more powerful army, which will include an Armored Car, Tank and Sniper. We have embedded a video below this article that showcases some of the Progressive Era upgrades on the technology tree, although we hope to post some battle gameplay in the coming week.
