Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in mouthwatering recap

By Updated on

With the launch of the Galaxy Note 3 just days away, we thought we would offer our readers a mouthwatering recap of what we know so far. However, it is worth pointing out that it is mere speculation at this point – much like with the iPhone 5S and 5C in that respect.

As always there is always conflicting reports, and the latest news supports that. We recently learned that the Galaxy Note 3 display will be of the LCD variety because it would appeal to emerging markets, although we cannot see Samsung doing such a thing with their upcoming flagship device, otherwise what is the point of the Galaxy Mega?

Sticking with the emerging markets theme, Samsung could even scale the camera down from the rumored 13-megapixel to 8-megapixel – again this is surely what the Galaxy Mega smartphone is for?

Going back to the display, we believe the Note 3 will likely stay just below the 6-inch mark, most rumors suggest 5.7-inch and will offer a 1080p Full HD experience.

As for the Galaxy Note 3 construction material we have heard so many rumors suggesting we could see a metal Note 3, but this is highly unlikely. We say this because Samsung already said they were sticking with their current design philosophy and will only change that from next year with a metal or carbon fiber Galaxy S5 and Note 4.

We believe the Note 3 will be made from a polycarbonate material, just as the current version but what do you think?

The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be announced during the IFA in Berlin on Sept 4.

The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be announced during the IFA in Berlin on Sept 4.

The Galaxy Note phablet range has always been about performance and possible Galaxy Note 3 specs could carry on with this tradition. We expect to see the latest Octa-core Exynos 5 processor, although we have no idea as to its clockspeed. We believe the Note 3 will come with 3GB of RAM and a Mali 450 GPU.

That extra RAM alone will make for a better multitasking experience, and with all the hardware working in conjunction with each other, the Galaxy Note 3 gaming potential will be amazing.

Galaxy Note 3 battery life will be very important, and packing a 3,450mAh removable battery will give you the ability for a long-lasting capability, along with the option of carrying a second battery in case you know you will demand a lot from your phone during the day.

As for the Galaxy Note 3 release date, that is also up in the air, but we do know Samsung will inform us of this on September 4. However, we believe the release will be in the last week of September.

Don’t expect the Galaxy Note 3 to come with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, as that will not be ready until the end of the year, so the upcoming flagship device from Samsung will sport the Android 4.3 version.

We hope you enjoyed this little recap, but if you have anything else to add then by all means tell us what you hope to see with the Note 3.
