Nokia has revealed HERE Auto within the last few hours along with Nokia’s Here Auto Cloud, HERE Traffic, companion apps on Android and Windows Phone. This is a full package to help the connected driver in more ways than just navigation, so car drivers can benefits from a solution that takes care of them from start to finish of a journey.
In simple terms you can think of Nokia’s HERE Auto as a cloud backed navigation system that will help with different map views, warnings about speed cameras in your location, and some innovative dynamic services to make driving a lot more fun.
The selling points for Nokia’s HERE Auto Cloud include features such as map updates, routes synced in the cloud along with your favorite places, real-time traffic information, street level images, POI and ratings from the community, local fuel prices to help you save money and even local weather updates.
If everything goes to plan and Nokia can attract enough developers, then we should start to see new apps for Here Auto in the coming months after a SDK is launched.

This doesn’t state when the Nokia HERE Auto app will release for Android and Windows Phone, but it shouldn’t be long away. The smartphone app will be something special considering it can tell you where the car was left thanks to LiveSight, and connect you to vehicle sensors like tire pressure and fuel level.
