Graphite iPhone 5S, iPad mini 2 parts unboxed

By Updated on

Verifying authenticity of the Graphite iPhone 5S and iPad mini 2 parts shown in the video below this article is not possible, but these components shipped directly from China certainly look real enough. The hands-on might only last for just over 4 minutes, but viewers are given a real close up of what’s said to be an iPhone 5S and iPad mini 2 back housing that match up to other designs revealed.

Graphite iPhone 5S vs. iPhone 5 – the screenshot above this article was taken from the video below, and it shows the current generation iPhone 5 being compared to what the video creator is calling a Graphite iPhone 5S.

You can see in terms of design there isn’t much of a change and this will split fans on likeability. There is a growing number that want a design change in the form of a new iPhone 6, but the leaks to date reveal this isn’t going to happen in 2013. You can expect an iPhone 5S/5C with a similar size that some people feel is dated.

In the photo above you can see the current-gen iPhone 5 standing next to what should be an iPhone 5S and 5C model. These designs match many others leaking and each year we normally get a pattern of leaks showing the final design this close to Apple’s new iPhone event. 2013 is no different, so we expect these designs to be correct now that Apple event invitations should arrive in around 4 days time. The Apple press conference is said to be set for September 10.

Another screenshot from the video below our article can be seen above, which reveals some new bright colored iPhones that should be named iPhone 5C. We expect Apple to announce “C” is for Color and not cheap.

The picture below is another image taken from the video and reveals an iPad mini 2 backing, but you can see a close up of this part and others in the video below. One thing that stands out with all these parts and leaked casings is size, which means nothing has changed in terms of overall size on both the new iPhone versions and 2nd-generation iPad mini. We expect the iPad mini 2 thickness to change and become a little thinner.
