G-Technology G-Dock blends Thunderbolt and USB 3.0

G-Technology has launched the new G-Dock, which allows you to store your G-Drive ev, which has been designed to help make your workflow more flexible. The latest Evolution Series is not only robust, but very expandable as well.

Looking at the new G-Technology G-Dock specs you will see that it offers both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 support, so giving you the best of both worlds in terms of connectivity.

Those drives can be hooked up to your Mac for portability, but that is not exactly unique because most drives work in the same way. However, it is the SATA III port on the rear that allows the new device to make it stand out against the rest.

It is only when you put the drive in the dock that things get serious (that’s what he says in the video review) because the G-Technology G-Dock can host two of the G-Drives.

There are two Thunderbolt ports, allowing you to connect other Thunderbolt devices to it giving you a daisy chain set up. When you connect the dock to your Mac you will then see two separate volumes appear on your desktop, giving you more options.
