We have some important news for those of you who are wondering what has happened to the PS Vita release date for Rayman Legends. Originally expected to launch beside console versions, we can now confirm to you that the handheld version has been delayed until further on in September.
As disappointing as this is, Ubisoft has come forward and revealed that the delay is due to the need to fine-polish aspects of the Vita version further, in order to ensure that the final product is worthy of the ‘Rayman brand’.
PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 versions released to overall raving reviews, but if you are wondering why your PS Vita version hasn’t shipped, you should now prepare for a new launch date of September 13 – just four days before a certain monster game from Rockstar is released.
To soften the blow, you should be reminded that the PS Vita version will come with bonus material not contained on the home console versions. This includes challenge mode missions like the previously exclusive Wii U version and also unique touch screen missions using Murphy.
Considering the game has attracted a great reception so far, you shouldn’t be too disheartened to hear about a two week delay so Ubisoft can make the game even better.
