Samsung 4K TV evolution and 85-inch hands-on

Having looked at the problems with OLED TV we found that one of those issues was the fact that it did not support 4K, which is all set for a jump in popularity now that the technology has gone mainstream. One such device is the Samsung 4K TV, which is a fine example of the evolution of the TV.

Samsung 4K TV 85-inch hands-on – With 4K TV sales set to increase in the build-up to the 2014 World Cup because it will be shown in stunning 4K, there was never any doubt that Samsung would be one of the main players to provide the TVs supporting this technology.

As a way to help spread the word we thought you might be interested to watch a couple of videos found on a popular YouTube channel. You will get to see the unboxing of the gigantic Samsung 85-inch 4K TV, but first a test to see just how well the new TV performs.

It is not just Samsung who aims to become a leader in 4K TV sales, as Sony has also shown their hand, which can be seen in the third video. However, Sony seems to be embracing the technology even further by releasing new cameras, shooting all-new content and re-mastering their huge library of content, much like we have seen with older movies being upgraded to Blu-ray.

4K TV will not pick up anytime soon though, as it will take time to get the content out. There is also two other factors, price and how your eyes might not distinguish the difference from a distance while viewing 4K content on a smaller TV screen. Having said that, if you are up close and you wish to play games such as Skyrim, then it will show the graphics leap, even more so with the Xbox One or PS4.
