If you still haven’t ordered your copy of GTA V, specifically due to the fact that you are waiting for some extra incentives – we may have a deal here that you can’t afford to turn down. It looks like ordering GTA V on Xbox 360 will score you a bonus of 1600 Microsoft Points – equal to the sum of a rather handsome $20.
Although you obviously do not need a further push to pre-order the game that is likely to become the game of 2013, this is a great little tempter from Microsoft to sway gamers towards the Xbox 360 version.
If you head to Microsoft’s online store, you will clearly see the short print in red which states that all pre-orders from now on will receive a voucher for 1600 Microsoft Points. The offer is available until September 16 and Microsoft states that they will be emailing the voucher with the code within 10 days of the game shipping to you.
As far as we’re aware, there is no similar offer on Sony’s part to offer some free PlayStation Store credit with GTA V pre-orders on the PS3. There doesn’t appear to be any catch on Microsoft’s offer though so it really is a no brainer if you were planning to get the Xbox 360 version within the next few days.
Just to let you know, 1600 Microsoft Points will be enough to say buy the next piece of Call of Duty DLC for free, so not bad when you think about it in those terms.
Let us know if you are tempted to take Microsoft up on their offer for GTA V on the Xbox 360. It’s a great deal either way you look at it.
