Having already looked at the possibility of the Haswell MacBook Pro refresh with Retina, we seem to have forgotten about something else, and it is not as though it is something small that we could actually forget.
For some reason we forgotten all about the iMac, which had a major redesign back in 2012. We are now hearing that the new Haswell iMac 2013 release date could be at the end of this month, although Apple Insider says that it is more than likely going to be September.
According to the report, Apple has now slowed deliveries down of the current model, and this will mean a shortage of inventory very soon, which is a sign that Apple could be due to update the model.
We don’t think for one moment that we will see a Haswell iMac this month, because Tim Cook said several months ago that they would not be releasing anything new until the fall, which is not until later in September.
If they left it until the fall, then we could see the 2013 Apple iMac with Haswell and would also come pre-installed with Mac OS X Mavericks.
Having already discussed the possibility that Apple could show off the new Haswell MacBook Pro during the iPhone event next month, we have to wonder if they would much rather have a separate launch event, where we will see the new 2013 MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro and also the release of OS X Mavericks?
