It has not been a good time for Microsoft over the past few years because sales of Windows PCs have fallen, they had to discontinue the Zune, which was assumed to be the iPod killer, and now their push into the tablet and hybrid market is more like a damp squid.
However, it is not too late for Microsoft to turn things around, and they have already taken the first steps by admitting that mistakes were made with the Surface range, but more so the Surface RT.
Having already looked at many of the reasons why the Surface RT has been a huge disappointment we have come across an informative reviews that looks at the Microsoft Surface RT market impact.
In the video they look at how the Surface RT was supposed to be a game change, but instead had moderate reviews and some strange TV commercials. It’s the latter we found surprising considering the huge amount of money Microsoft had spent on marketing the two surface devices.
Don’t get us wrong, the hardware wasn’t that bad, but it was more so the software that let the RT down, along with its price.
The video also looks at the steps Microsoft has taken in order to help improve RT sales, and whether it is too little too late.
Let’s hope that Microsoft has learned from its mistakes and that the Surface RT 2 and the Surface Pro 2nd generation will be better received?
