Production Porsche 918 Spyder planned for Frankfurt

By Updated on

With the Ferrari La Ferrari and the McLaren P1 set to dominate the market in terms of hybrid supercars, the Porsche 918 Spyder is not about to let them get their own way. This is because the German sports car maker has gone about their hybrid system in a different way, along with its design as well.

Having already seen an almost complete production version of the vehicle at the Pebble Beach Concours, we have now learned from Top Gear that the final Production Porsche 918 Spyder will make an appearance during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Porsche has been teasing us for months, such as showing us their unique power transition system for the 918 Spyder captured on video, along with those all-important 918 Spyder specs.

All this has been building up to the big day of when Porsche will finally show us the production version and so we are so glad this will take place next month, we just hope it has been worth the wait?

Having said that, there are still some of you out there who are not convinced about the Porsche 918 Spyder, because they believe it would have been far better with a more powerful engine and to do away with the hybrid system, so where do you stand?
