There is a pending issue for some of our readers that currently own an iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, which involves a contract running out and the need for a new smartphone via an upgrade. The differences between iPhone 5 vs. 4S are enough for some people to upgrade their handset right before another phone is about to land.
While we feel this is a little crazy considering an iPhone 5S or 6 could release within 7 weeks, it is also understandable after talking to a few of our readers.
One Product Reviews reader stated, “I have an iPhone 4S and my phone has problems with people hearing me during phone calls. I reinstalled iOS 6 as a fresh install and this revealed a hardware not software fault, so I need to upgrade as soon as possible considering my phone is almost useless”.
This is one of many situations that reveal why some people are purchasing an iPhone 5 right before the new smartphone arrives from Apple for 2013. Others explain, “You never know what Apple will do thanks to secrecy. I am due an upgrade now for my iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5 will do nicely”.
Apple will keep selling iPhone 5’s right up to the new iPhone 5S/6 launches, although we do wonder how some of these people will feel seeing new hardware just a few weeks after purchasing an iPhone 5? Leave a comment below telling your story.
Will you upgrade to the iPhone 5 now, or wait until the Apple press conference expected in September?
