The Ford Mustang 50th anniversary will arrive on a date in April 2014, but this hasn’t stopped Ford hyping up the birthday event 8 months early. The automaker has started a video series in celebration of everything good about Ford Mustang, which includes everything from the original concept to the latest 2013/2014 models.

You can see the latest Ford Mustang video in the 50th anniversary series above this article. You will be able to watch each video as they arrive on the official YouTube channel for Ford Mustang. Each video will include the title “Ford Mustang Countdown”, and it will be a long countdown that should run for the next 8 months until April 17, 2014. This is the Ford Mustang 50th anniversary.

This video in the series looks at Zach King’s viral video that featured a pair of Ford Shelby GT500 Mustangs, although the remote controlled versions. When this video originally went viral for King it reached over 3 million YouTube viewers.

You won’t see any CGI, but the video will reveal an action-packed RC race between the Ford Mustangs and even an RC helicopter gunship.

We have been told that future videos will focus on Ford Mustang and how it touched people over the 50 years. This means a closer look at the original Mustang One concept car, video games, toys, interviews, some rare footage and also the one millionth Mustang being produced at Flat Rock Assembly Plant.

You can also see how much some people are willing to pay for a special Ford Mustang in an earlier article, which featured one model being sold at auction for over $1 million.
