If you were in any doubt as to how good Killzone Mercenary is really looking on the PS Vita, we think we have the video which will end all fears. The game has been hyped up as one of the first games to truly show off what the Vita hardware can do, and it looks like that hype has been justified. The game looks incredible.

We would even go as far to say that these graphics are basically on par with many games available on the PS3, just to give you an idea of the impressive level of quality that Guerilla has managed to produce. It’s so refreshing to see a developer finally put the effort in to show what the system can actually do, we just hope that other developers are seeing what has been done here and will be inspired to get a similar level of quality for future games in 2014.

You may have heard, that the closed beta of Killzone Mercenary is now available. Those lucky enough to get a key are already enjoying some action online, but for everyone else – an open beta will start later on in August. Fortunately, we have some fantastic gameplay to share with you, taken direct from the beta and courtesy of RajmanGaming.

You get to see those beautiful graphics running in real time during a live match, just remember to notch up the quality to HD on YouTube to get the full effect. You have to agree that what you are seeing is truly impressive, compared to other FPS games on the Vita like Unit13, Resistance Burning Skies and Black Ops Declassified.

Another great thing to consider as well, we are only a few years into the PS Vita lifecycle. Imagine what will be possible in another two years in terms of graphics, after seeing what can be done by Guerilla Cambridge here with Killzone Mercenary. It’s a mouth watering prospect indeed – let’s hope that the momentum continues.

Are you truly shocked at the impressive level of graphics here?
