Moto X camera review teased before release

We are just hours away from the live reveal of the highly anticipated Motorola Moto X smartphone. Consumers are expecting big things from the device after so much hype, while Motorola themselves are hoping that they are bringing a device to the market that could seriously compete with Apple’s new iPhone later this year.

The reveal is due to take place at 3pm Eastern Time on Thursday, but to get you warmed up for the event, we may have something rather exciting to show you as perfect preparation material. A video has emerged online, showing off the Moto X camera app as it will appear when the device goes on sale.

The full camera app has been leaked early and in this particular case, we see it installed and running on a Samsung Galaxy S4 for demonstration purposes. You’ll be able to get a heads-up on the basic design of the camera app, whilst also seeing the various gesture swipes that you can perform to make picture taking a lot more easier.

You’ll see the subtle little touches that Motorola has added to the Moto X camera app, such as being able to turn the shutter tone off if you want, and also holding down your finger on the screen to take multiple pictures at once with some visual feedback from the app letting you how many pictures have been taken.

Given that this is running on a Galaxy S4 rather than the MotoX itself, you can’t see Motorola’s hyped feature of shaking the wrist twice to open up the camera app instantly. It is however a very nice preview if you have already decided that the Moto X is your next purchase. Check out the clip below and let us know how impressed you are with the Moto X.

Is the hype really justified in your opinion or not?
