While most of you are aware of the full ins and outs of the PS4 console in relation to PS Plus, there are some consumers who are still unsure as to which elements of Sony’s PlayStation Network are going to be free, and which will be restricted behind the PS Plus pay wall.
One of the biggest requests that gamers have, is whether the highly anticipated PS4 party chat will be free to use for all PS4 users, or if Sony will make it one of the ‘premium’ features of PS Plus, much like what they did with cloud saving and automatic updates on the PS3.
Now, we’re pleased to bring you the great news that PS4 party chat will be free for all to use. Sony has confirmed this in a recent Q&A video, meaning that you won’t have to have a PS Plus subscription in order to engage in some party chat sessions with your friends once they pick up their consoles too.
It’s great news of course, and always nice to get that confirmation in the clearest terms to avoid any sort of confusion. Sony should realize now how smart it is to be on the consumer’s side, but even then we have a feeling that most of you will be considering a PS Plus subscription anyway.
Watch the video below to see the confirmation from Sony for yourself. There’s also a guarantee that your PS4 friends list will have space for a whopping 2000 entries. Now we just need to find the friends to fill the spots.
