LG has been on a roll lately with some very nice handsets, although they’re still unable to keep up with the onslaught of Samsung devices. Having said that, this is not letting them lose focus and if the LG G2 is anything to go by, they really are focused on their own thing.
If you have been waiting for the LG G2 to be unveiled, then you’ll be pleased to know that the South Korean company has announced that they will unveil their new smartphone during an event on August 7, 2013. This is not rumor, as a new LG G2 website is now live and has been showcased on their.
LG G2 specs – Even though LG has baited their new G2 handset, they did so without giving anything away about those all-important specs, but that doesn’t mean we are completely clueless.
Firstly we know that the LG G2 screen will be on the large side, about 5.2-inches and will offer Full HD quality. It would have been nice to see the LG G2 with Android 4.3, but it looks as though we will have to make do with version 4.2.3 instead. Keeping things running sweet should be the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with a speed of 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM. Finally, we expect the LG G2 camera to be of the 13-megapixel variety.
Going back to the LG G2 website, they even have a countdown, pity it was not for the official LG G2 release instead, then at least that would give us something more to look forward to. Having said that, it’s only a two-week wait, and then we will know all there is about this upcoming larger smartphone.
