Last week we showed you the first pictures of the very real, but still unannounced Nexus 7 2013 upgrade, or Nexus 7 ’2′ if we are to go along with popular belief via social media boards. This week, we have the clearest indication that the new Nexus 7 tablet is definitely a real device, with Twitter in fact being responsible for the leak.
We have no idea when Google plans to announce the successor to the Nexus 7, but we’re willing to bet that it can’t be far off. Production is clearly at an advanced stage based on this new leak from Twitter, so don’t be surprised if we see something official from Google very soon.
The Nexus 7 2013 model has now shown up on Twitter, thanks to another reveal from the EVLeaks page. This is without doubt the clearest look at the new device seen to date, showing both what the front and back sides of the model will look like. As previously revealed, we now also get a closer look at the new 5 megapixel rear camera sensor, which is just one of the confirmed features that will be coming later on this year.
What you may not have seen in the first round of leaks, but will definitely see now is the new set of dual speakers – located both at the top and bottom ends of the new Nexus 7. They look pretty slick to us and we can’t wait to see what the sound quality is like on general use.
