Ashes Cricket 2013: Game in UK price battle

We have a heads up for those desperately trying to get their hands on the elusive Ashes Cricket 2013 game in the UK. We say elusive, as the game still isn’t out, despite all of the exciting action unfolding on our television screens which makes us and all other cricket fans want to play the game even more.

Hopefully we’ll see a happy ending regarding the release date in the coming days, but in the meantime we have a crucial price check for those looking to secure their copy online, ready for release in the UK. Price wars have already begun it seems and unsurprisingly, it looks like Tesco is the cheapest supermarket with the lowest price so far – that we have seen.

Sainsburys has priced Ashes Cricket at a respectable £37.99, while ASDA is slightly cheaper at £37 exactly – all prices relating to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC copies of the game of course. Tesco though has once again shown their ability to duke it out in the trenches, by offering the game online for just £32.99 – which looks like your best bet if you are buying from a supermarket.

Not to be outdone this time, specialist retailer GAME has also now met Tesco’s price, by offering the game for £32.99 as well. Both GAME and Tesco state that you can pre-order the game right now, so we recommend you get your order in right now if you want to have a guaranteed delivery on launch date.

So there we have it. Let us know how frustrated you are with the wait for the game and if you are planning to pre-order online to secure a copy ready for release. Will you buy from Tesco or GAME?
