You have to hand it to BlackBerry, just as their rivals are looking at physical keys as a thing of the past, the Canadian phone maker digs in and puts even more time, effort and money into physical QWERTY keyboards, and their Q10 and W5 devices are proof of that.
While the market for such devices is not as big as it once was, with BlackBerry’s rivals now concentrating on touchscreen, it allows them to have a greater share of the pie, even if that pie is starting to get smaller. BlackBerry must know what they are doing, which is why they have the high-end Q10 and the lower-end Q5, which is an ideal device for emerging markets.

We’ve already looked over a BlackBerry Q10 review and how it compares to the Z10, but what of the BlackBerry Q5 review comparison? Well, we have found two videos for you, the first of which is a hands-on of both handsets, just to see how different they really are.
The thing that you will notice the most about the Q5 is its size, as it does look like a more comfortable handset to hold, that’s because it is slightly longer but not as wide, so easier to use with one hand. However, the Q10 has a more premium design, although the Q5 is not as cheap looking, as you would expect.
You would imagine the keys to be better to use on the Q5, as they are more spaced out, but for some reason they do feel better on the Q10, but being a premium handset it needed to be.
Looking at the video comparison below of the Q5 and Q10 app launch speed, it’s clear to see that they are pretty close, and so you have to wonder why you would want to spend the extra on the Q10, when the Q5 is a more than capable handset?
Like we said above, the Q5 is an ideal handset for emerging markets, and so comes as no surprise that the BlackBerry Q5 price in India is Rs 24,990, but we fear that this price needed to be sub Rs 20,000, in order to make an impact on their Android rivals in the country.
