When choosing over-the-head headphones, one of the most popular brands at this current time seems to be Beats by Dr. Dre, as they not only give you are a great audio experience, but also makes you look stylish at the same time – although this does come down to personal taste.
However, there are always other factors to consider when choosing headphones, and one of them is what other added benefits can they offer, a question that one designer had asked himself?
Product-Reviews loves to look around for crowd-sourcing products, as there are some real gems out there, such as Smart Diapers, and we believe that these set of Solar-Powered Headphones that doubles as a phone charger is equally impressive, and more often than not you will be listening to your music while your set of headphones are plugged into your smartphone.
Having just come back from a vacation to Turkey, I was often by the pool listening to music and also browsing the Internet at the same time, but this did have an adverse effect on my iPhone 5 battery, and so was having to charge my phone on a more regular basis. It’s for this reason why I’m intrigued about these OnBeat Solar Headphones, as this would have solved my ongoing issue each day.
The video below will help to explain how these OnBeat Solar Headphones work in more detail, but it does seem as though some of you are not convinced about this Kickstarter project, as just £16,428 has been pledged of a £200,000 goal, which to us does seem like a huge figure. The project has been running since July 3, 2013 and has until August 7 to reach its target.
These headphones will not be cheap though, as they will retail at £119.00, if the project gets off the ground. However, that’s not as expensive as some brands out there, so maybe you should give these the benefit of the doubt?
