The Sony Honami i1 release date and launch event has evaded us for a while now. Previous possibilities haven’t turned into fruit, but it looks like we might finally get to see the Sony Honami, aka i1, launch at a pre-IFA 2013 event. This news comes to us thanks to some invites being sent out to various bloggers and members of the press.
Sony’s Honami i1 official specs are yet to be revealed but leaks suggest a 20-megapixel camera, which could make this upcoming smartphone one of the best Android camera phones to date. The handset should also pack a Snapdragon 800 chip and 5-inch display in full 1080p HD.
The September 4th event simply teases an “exciting booth unveiling”, so this is all speculation at this point. It is also strange that Sony is sending out these event invites 2 months before the date.
We will of course cover everything announced during Sony’s keynote on September 4th, and what arrives at this pre-IFA 2013 press conference.
Samsung fans will be looking at another smartphone expected to launch around this time, and this would be the Galaxy Note 3, so expect both Sony and Samsung to battle for your purchase.
