We first heard about DuckTales: Remastered in March of this year, a game that some of our readers will be remember for the music, and today we have solid details on the launch dates for a number of platforms. Our older audience might have enjoyed the 1989 platform game, but this HD remake promises to bring back the magic with some extras.

DuckTales Remastered has been given an Aug. 13 release date for PS3, PC and Wii U. If you want the game on Xbox Live, then sadly you’ll need to wait a little longer until Sept. 11.

Digital pricing comes in at $14.99 for all platforms. PlayStation 3 owners will be treated to an extra in the form of a retail boxed version, but this will cost a little more at $19.99. This retail version of DuckTales Remastered is set to launch on Aug. 20 with a DuckTales collector pin and download code included inside the box.

You would have first heard about this HD remaster at PAX East 2013, but there will be a number of differences from the original that launched on Nintendo originally before being ported to Game Boy over 20 years ago.

Take a look at the video below to see some DuckTales Remastered gameplay and a so-called “Duckumentary” looking at the games background. Will you be downloading DuckTales Remastered, and if so what platform will you grab this version on?
