We’re sure you have all seen the amazing GTA V trailer that Rockstar released earlier this week, but what you probably don’t know is what system Rockstar used to create the graphics since they confirmed that everything shown was in-game visuals. Now, the developer has revealed that the entire gameplay shown during the footage was all taken from the PS3 version of the game.
The amazing thing about the gameplay trailer is that you wouldn’t have been surprised if this was next-gen graphics we were looking at, as the game really is looking superb. Instead though, Rockstar has somehow managed to squeeze every little resource out of the PS3 and Xbox 360 to create a game that is surely going to end up as the very best and last game of current-generation hardware.
However, what you saw in the trailer has now confirmed to be all PS3 graphics. Rockstar sent out a comment on their website to inform the thousands who were leaving feedback directly under the trailer, as to what system specifically was used. Some had predicted that even though PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have only been confirmed – this particular gameplay could have been taken from a PC version.
That is obviously not the case though and it does pose an interesting thought as to how the Xbox 360 version is going to end up looking in comparison. Rockstar has already said that both versions will look exactly the same, so GTA V really is looking like a game that is going to provide a mouthwatering treat for both sets of console owners come September 17.
Did you suspect that this was the PS3 version being shown or not? It’s great that Rockstar confirmed this so early for everyone, when other developers choose not to say anything at all or dodge the question.
