Rockstar are again taking their time in disclosing official GTA V news to the world. We would be lying if we said we were not getting a little impatient, but it looks like when we do get the next content reveal it will finally be a new trailer for us to enjoy. In the meantime, Rockstar has given out some very useful information on the highly anticipated game, including some initial details on potential discrepancies between the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
We already told you earlier this week about confirmation that the Xbox 360 version will ship on two discs, compared to the PS3 version which will ship on a single Blu-Ray disc. We also know that both versions will require a mandatory 8GB install, but now it’s time to discover if the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will have any major graphical differences between them.
If they do, Rockstar are not willing to go public on it of course. Staying diplomatic, the developer has revealed on their website that they have aimed to make GTA V look exactly the same on both platforms. If players are able to spot visual differences between the two versions though, Rockstar has said that they are only negligible and nothing major.
Both games have been developed specifically to look the same as each other according to Rockstar, which means that when September 17 finally arrives, we shouldn’t have any dramas over graphical comparisons which usually send respective platform owners into a mad rage over which version looks better.
Some of you may have been presuming that the PS3 version of GTA V will end up looking better, but it looks like Rockstar are going to ensure that these kind of debates will be fruitless, regardless of any urban legends regarding hardware superiority. Do you think that Rockstar will succeed in this mission, or do you still believe that one version will end up looking slightly better?
