Nokia Lumia 925 release date from T-Mobile roadmap

By Updated on

Nokia has taken many consumers by surprise recently, with their collection of varying Lumia devices which actually offer a great alternative to some of the other ‘high-end’ smartphones available on the market from rival manufacturers. This week, we have some very good news for T-Mobile users, as it looks like we could have a solid release date for the highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone.

The Lumia 925 is the follow up to the already popular Lumia 920, and T-Mobile users will be able to bask in the glory seeing as their network will be the only place to pick up the Lumia 925 when it launches in the US. So far, T-Mobile has been unwilling to commit to a solid release date, with many consumers expecting to be able to buy it throughout June.

That obviously hasn’t happened though, and now we have information which suggests that Wednesday July 17 could be the date when the Lumia 925 is finally available to buy on T-Mobile. The Windows 8 powered device is also apparently going to be joined with the release of the Sony Xperia Z as well, thanks to this leaked roadmap from Tmonews.

The price is thought to be similar to other recent T-Mobile launches – a $99 down payment, followed by monthly fees of $20. Alternatively those looking to pick up the Lumia 925 outright, should be able to pay a lump sum of $579 for that luxury. With the switch to Windows Phone 8 OS compared to Symbian, there is much more attention on the device this time around and real belief that Nokia are starting to make a big comeback after a period of uncertainty.

We have a feeling that there is every reason to suggest that this July 17 date is genuine. Let us know if you would consider the Nokia Lumia 925, ahead of some of the other leading smartphones on the market at the moment. Is Windows Phone 8 an advantage, or disadvantage for you?
