Bayonetta 2 is set to be one of the main highlights of the Wii U in 2014, and now we’re pleased to say we can give you even more reasons why. You may have missed this during E3, but Bayonetta 2 was actually playable on Nintendo’s show floor to lucky attendees. We now have a clip of some footage to show you now, letting you see just how impressive the game is looking from a graphical point of view.
This particular video could also be deemed as one to severely silence the critics, who believe that the Wii U hardware cannot handle some graphic intensive games, despite others who say it’s more powerful than Xbox 360 and PS3 on paper. Anyone who saw Bayonetta 2 at E3 would disagree though and may have even been surprised at how good the game looked, especially with the frantic jet and train level that Nintendo decided to show off.
PS3 and Xbox 360 players were understandably upset when it was first confirmed that the game would be a Nintendo Wii U exclusive, unlike the original. That mood is unlikely to get better with this E3 gameplay footage that we have to show you, as Bayonetta 2 is looking fantastic indeed.
Bayonetta is back with a brand new arsenal of weaponry, including some backup tools inside those boots of hers. The gameplay video we have to show you comes courtesy of Gamespot and comes included with commentary. The video also gives you a great look at how Bayonetta 2 plays on the GamePad – very smooth and looks impressive.
Also confirmed at E3, is the ability to play Bayonetta 2 off-TV using the Wii U GamePad, so you’ll be able to take the action away from the television when the situation is needed. A multiplayer mode has also been confirmed, so it really is looking like a must-have title for Wii U owners and a game that could boost Wii U hardware on its own.
Check out the fantastic gameplay here and then let us know if your thoughts on Bayonetta 2 have changed or not. Did you expect the graphics to look this good?
