We could have some very juicy information to share with you now, especially if you are looking to pick up Sony’s next-gen PS4 console ahead of the Xbox One. Sony hasn’t yet revealed an official PS4 release date to the world, but it looks like one retailer in Europe may have taken matters into their own hands.
We see it all the time where retailers always manage to leak dates before an official announcement can be made. Sony has only said that they would be launching the PS4 during the 2013 Holiday Season, but now we have found out this week that the actual date could be November 13 in Europe.
A retailer by the name of Media Markt in Amsterdam has apparently been carrying posters of the PS4 console, along with a launch date of November 13. While this would fall on a Wednesday in Europe, it could be an indication that Sony will launch the PS4 in the US the day before on Tuesday November 12.

This would fall in line with traditional content releases by Sony, and it would also be the closest thing yet to a global launch at the same time, albeit one day apart for US and EU markets. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that this is the actual launch date, but it does look promising and one of the first instances where we’ve had a solid PS4 release date to share.
Sony won’t be commenting on ‘rumor and speculation’, but it will be interesting if we see more evidence of the November 12/13 PS4 launch date next week. If you have already pre-ordered a PS4, let us know your thoughts on a potential November 13 or November 12 launch – sounds logical right?
