If you have seen the Jaguar F-Type in one of its commercials and love the look of the car, but feel as though a hardtop version would suit you better, then you’ll be pleased to know that there will soon be an alternative to the Roadster. However, you will doubt be wondering what other differences there will be?
Will the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, or Hatchback as it will be known in other parts of the world, be more particle than the Roadster? The hardtop version will still only come with two seats, but will come with extra luggage space thanks to the electric-roof mechanism not taking up any space in the trunk.

One would presume the Jaguar F-Type Coupe would be better than the Roadster, because topless cars have in the past had a tendency to feel a bit floppy, but Jaguar has worked hard to make certain that they both handle the same.
No changes will be made to engine types, and so performance should be the same for both the Coupe and Roadster, although it’s worth pointing out that there will be several refinements over the hardtop version, such as being a little quieter to drive at higher speeds.
It’s clear that it will be tough to choose between the two, because while the Coupe will be more refined, there’s no getting away from the fact that the Roadster looks cool with its top down. However, it doesn’t look as nice with the roof up, and the downside to both versions of the Jaguar F-Type is that they are overweight.
However, this doesn’t seem to be deterring people, as early sales have been very impressive, and almost all production for 2013 has been allocated, and so we hope that this success carries on way into 2014.
