We have been treated to some amazing new game reveals at this year’s E3 expo in Los Angeles. Final Fantasy XV, The Order 1886, Killer Instinct, The Division and a Mirror’s Edge reboot are just some of the big games on the way, but there was one notable absentee that many had hoped to see at the event – but didn’t.
That game is Fallout 4. Some gamers were heavily expecting Bethesda to show up at Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference and official announce Fallout 4 to the world, but unfortunately it never happened. Along with GTA V, Fallout 4 is arguably the second most anticipated video game now and Bethesda are surely aware of the massive hype and attention that the game is receiving on social media.
This could also be a bad thing for gamers, as it means that Bethesda can take as long as they like to reveal the game, knowing too well that demand will still be as high as ever. Fallout 4 was nowhere to be seen at during the major E3 press conferences, so does that mean that Bethesda are saving for a reveal at the 2013 Spike Video Game Awards again?
The Tokyo Game Show takes place in September, but we obviously won’t see Fallout 4 revealed in Japan before anywhere else. The VGAs has now become infamous for first time world premieres, with Bethesda themselves revealing Skyrim for the first time in 2010, followed by Naughty Dog in 2011 with The Last of Us.
Bethesda are obviously saying nothing on when Fallout 4 will be revealed, but the 2013 VGAs is now looking like a safe bet for the very first trailer for Fallout 4. We know the game is definitely on the way, as Bethesda recently asked fans for their feedback on a possible Fallout 4 co-op or multiplayer mode on their official forums.
With all of the game reveals at E3 so far, was Fallout 4 the one that you were hoping to see the most? Let us know if you think the VGAs are also a likely location for when the game will finally be revealed.
